Cabins
Campers live in cabins equipped with bathrooms and showers. Staff members live with campers to provide a 1 to 5 ratio.
Mass
Campers attend Mass on Friday. This is the last camp event for all campers. It is a perfect way to end our week as we join to pray, reflect, and celebrate our God.
Wellness
CYO camp employs a Health Care Manager for the summer and two camp nurses each week. They provide health screenings take care of campers and staff that are sick or injured, talk to parents, and distribute medications to campers who need them. All health care at CYO Camp is under the guidance of the camp doctor who practices in our local town of Nashville, his standing orders, and ACA guidelines. Campers who arrive at camp ill will be asked to reschedule their camp session.
Meals
The Food Service Staff at camp work hard to provide quality, healthy meals that have been prepared in a clean and sanitary environment that adheres to the Indiana State Board of Health and the American Camp Association standards for food service facilities. Meals are healthy and fresh…not processed. The menu focuses on kid friendly food. The majority of produce served at camp is organic and many of our baked goods are from “scratch.” Hot meal, salad/fruit bar, peanut butter and jelly and a vegetarian option are included at each meal.
Programming for the Weather
Campers swim every day! On hot days water play is incorporated into many activities. Drinking water is available throughout the day. During storms and rain we retreat to indoor spaces and stay busy with games and songs. In the event of severe weather, CYO Camp follows an established and practiced emergency action plan.
