Mission & Values

CYO Camp Rancho Framasa welcomes youth, individuals, families and groups to an inclusive environment to hear God’s voice and seek the Holy Spirit in the beauty of nature. Nestled in the beautiful hills of Brown County, Indiana, Camp Rancho Framasa is owned by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Established in 1946, CYO Camp Rancho Framasa hosts residential summer camp, outdoor education classes, retreats and family camping.

Camp's mission is to enhance the emotional and spiritual development of youth and adults through experiences in the outdoors.

Our Core Values

Catholic

Our Catholic identity and traditions are an integral part of our camp. Prayer is a part of each day. Summer campers are given opportunities to live their faith through the St. John Bosco Bead Program. Participants discover a sense of self and appreciation for others and see all these wonders as a reflection of God.

Inclusive

All programs at CYO Camp are inclusive. Campers of all abilities participate together in one inclusive environment. Additional staff support and/or program and facility adaptations are available. Camper/Participant Centered

CYO Camp exists for those who come to its programs. We are committed to providing an environment that puts people first and things second. We ask that each person walk in humility with our God and take care to place the needs of others before his or her own.

Staff Development

The CYO Camp Staff are role models. We hire and train only the most amazing young adults to work at camp. We support staff in their personal faith journeys as well as their professional, individual and community goals. We work to guide and nurture a group of people who care for camp participants, for each other and for all of God’s creation.

Stewards of the Earth

At CYO Camp we care for our Earth! Our earth friendly practices include…composting, recycling, re-using, and using earth friendly products. Finally, we share our love of the earth with each person who comes to camp. The beautiful setting provides the WOW factor, and we provide the education.
