ABOUT SUMMER CAMP...

Summer camp at CYO Camp is different than other camps! While we are committed to the FUN, this camp experience also comes laced with faith programming that involves Christian values and morals. Campers have fun while developing faith values that will last a lifetime.

CYO Camp Rancho Framasa has many programs to choose from...all offering a positive, inclusive experience for the children who attend. Camp activities include: outdoor cooking/fire building, swimming, canoeing, campfires, games, sports, nature, faith hour (parables), hiking, horseback riding, scripture, handicrafts, climbing tower, dance, low ropes challenge, camp-out, Mass, cook-out, drama, and archery.

Whether campers are at Mass, hiking in the woods or sleeping under the stars self esteem grows, relationships form, cooperation and courage happen ALL within a child who attends CYO Camp for a few days!

2010 CAMP FEES

ABOUT OUR SUMMER CAMP FEES

Why do our programs have 3 fees listed?

Realizing that families have differing abilities to pay, we’ve instituted a VOLUNTARY 3-tier pricing program. Please take a moment to look at the fee descriptions below, and determine which of these three prices your family is able and willing to pay. This is strictly voluntary. In no way will the amount paid influence the quality of the experience children receive. As always, financial assistance is available.

Fee A: This a based on the actual cost of camp for a child to participate. Includes expenses for staff, maintenance, food, programs, supplies, and wear and tear/depreciation.

Fee B: This is our partially subsidized rate for those who can pay a little more but are still unable to afford the actual cost of camp.

Fee C: This is our standard subsidized fee. For all programs this is the same fee as 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010!

Traditional, Adventure, Traditional Teen
C = $395 B = $445 A = $490

Sassafras
C = $200 B = $235 A = $ 260

Junior Counselor, Ranch Hands
C = $175 B = $205 A = $230

Sassafras Ranch Hand
C = $ 90 B = $120 A = $145

Grasshopper Day Camp

Living at CYO Camp

Cabins

Campers live in cabins equipped with bathrooms and showers. Staff live with campers to provide a 1 to 5 ratio.

Mass

Campers attend Mass on Friday. This is the last camp event for all campers and a perfect way to end our week as we join to pray, refl ect, and celebrate our God.

Wellness

CYO camp employs a Health Care Manager for the summer and two camp nurses each week. They provide health screenings, take care of campers and staff who are sick or injured, talk to parents, and distribute medications to campers who need them. All health care at CYO Camp is under the guidance of the camp doctor who practices in our local town of Nashville, his standing orders, and ACA guidelines. Campers who arrive at camp ill will be asked to reschedule their camp session.

Meals

The Food Service Staff at camp work hard to provide quality, healthy meals that have been prepared in a clean and sanitary environment that adheres to the Indiana State Board of Health and the American Camp Association standards for food service facilities. Meals are healthy and fresh…not processed. The menu focuses on kid friendly food. The majority of produce served at camp is organic and many of our baked goods are from “scratch.” Hot meal, salad/fruit bar, peanut butter and jelly and a vegetarian option is included at each meal.

Programming For The Weather

Campers swim everyday! On hot days water play is incorporated into many activities. Drinking water is available throughout the day. During storms and rain we retreat to indoor spaces and stay busy with games and songs. In the event of severe weather, CYO Camp follows an established and practiced emergency action plan.

Letter From the Camp Directors

Dear Camp Family,

Many years ago we began our journey at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa. We were both campers and summer staff members. We met at CYO Camp. Now we are raising our family here among the camp family.

We have made CYO Camp Rancho Framasa our home. We find great joy in being called to serve the Church in our Ministry with the camp. This joy is founded in the satisfaction of knowing the powerful impact of camp on a child. Camp impacted us when we were campers and it still impacts children and their families today.

Our family has chosen CYO Camp for many years now. The graces that our family receives for being immersed in CYO Camp are immeasurable. Our children get to know some of the greatest role models in the world by being with our staff each summer. Your very own children may impact our children as they watch and participate in camp activities together.

Please accept our heartfelt wishes for your child to become a part of the camp family. It is our wish that he or she may experience all of the wonders and joys of CYO Camp Rancho Framasa.

Sincerely,

Kevin & Angi Sullivan
Camp Directors
