In 1946 Mr. Bert Dingley donated 280 acres of land to the Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis to be used as a summer camp for the youth of the Church. His one stipulation was that the camp be named Rancho Framasa. Mr. Dingley created the word Framasa by combining the first letters of his daughters' names (FRAncis, MArgerat, and SAmuella).
For almost 80 years CYO Camp Rancho Framasa has provided a faithfilled, engaging camp experience for the youth of the Church and beyond. It has grown into a vibrant, year round experience for individuals, schools. community groups, churches, and more. With its now 297 acres that includes wooded hills, a pond, a creek, and many buildings and its over 7000 guests annually CYO Camp Rancho Framasa programs have shaped children and adults who believe in the camp experience and who take its values into the world.
"At CYO Camp, we are doing nothing short of changing the world. Join us." Kevin Sullivan, CYO Camp Director
