The Internship experience at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa is designed to prepare emerging recreation professionals for a successful career in the recreation field. Each intern gets a wide perspective experience of the recreation field as well as an opportunity to deeply explore their specific area of study. Working closely with their mentor and supervisor interns will engage in planning, leading, teaching, and facilitating.
The Internship program is designed to teach the many facets of working within the CYO Camp Rancho Framasa setting and the recreation field while remaining flexible and responsive to the needs, interests, and aspirations of the interns.
We offer internships in Outdoor Education, Outdoor Leadership and Management, Therapeutic Recreation, Media, and Hospitality. We use our current positions as a foundation for all internships and offer specific projects to help students reach their goals.

We aim to... Help the student meet all university requirements. Contribute to the professional development of the student through contact with professionals. Benefit the recreation profession by offering unique work/learn opportunities. Provide an opportunity for the students to apply concepts in practical settings. Teach students techniques and skills common in public recreation agencies. Provide students the opportunity to become aware their own values to determine if they are consistent with a career in recreation. Provide guidance through professional development workshops to help the student identify the career track that best suits their interests. Actively assist successful university students in the pursuit of full-time employment upon completion of their Fieldwork/Internship experience.
