Checking out your old camp? Whether you worked in the 1940’s or 2020 or any place in between camp has likely made a positive impact on your life! The experience continues for many staff members today!
So, as an alumnus how can you stay connected?
We are updating our alum database! If you'd like to be connected please complete the form below letting us know how to reach you. We love including our alums in camp events.
Do you know a dynamic, faith filled young person who might be a good fit to work in the camp environment? Encourage that person to apply to work at camp! We offer seasonal employment Summer Staff and Program Staff. Check out Employment Opportunities on this site for more information. A word or two from you might be the gentle push someone needs to apply for a camp job that will change their lives.
Are you a teacher/leader of youth in your community? Consider using camp for your next outdoor education or spiritual retreat program! CYO Camp is the camp of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis! It is YOUR Catholic camp and we await your group with quality programs and staff. In addition, camp is the perfect place for your youth group to fulfill community service hours.
Are you a parent of a child in the Catholic schools? Encourage your child’s teachers and principal to consider camp for programs outside of the classroom. Camp’s school year programs are designed to work with teachers to compliment and match the curriculum being used in the classroom. Ask your child’s teacher today about a field trip to camp for an outdoor education program!
Do you know kids who would love a summer camp experience but cannot financially afford it? Consider donating to camp!
What else can you do? Even with the busy calendar at camp the staff stop often to pray and thank God for the many blessings of camp. As we embark on new seasons and new programs throughout the year it is important to the staff at CYO Camp to pray for continued success. We ask that you join us in that prayer. Let’s pray together that through our work at camp we are able to reach children and make a difference in their lives so that they are empowered to live in positive and productive ways.
We hope you find a way to be a part of today’s CYO Camp!

Alumni Engagement Projects
Staff Crosses You may have experienced the CYO Camp tradition of the Catholic camp staff cross. We have the crosses specially made and they are exclusively made for Catholic camps. Each summer at the end of the staff training week we commission the summer’s staff with the Catholic camp cross. We want to start a new tradition with this. We are asking for a few alums that would be willing to come to per-camp and talk for a minute or two at the amphitheater to the entire staff about the significance to you of your staff cross. We would then ask each staff member to come forward and you would be placing their new cross around their neck – with a few words from Steve and we would be “commissioning” them to be Catholic camp staff. When: Typically the last Thursday of May
Summer Staff Cook-out We would much rather have some alums come and do the set-up, grilling and clean-up with Kevin. It really is not a big to-do and of course all the food is packed from the camp kitchen for us and ready to go. It is a great time to be at camp, hang with Kevin at the grill and see and meet some of the new and excited staff. Pretty much the entire staff attends, it’s free food to them! When? Typically the first Friday of June
Camp Planting We are looking for a small group of alums that want to adopt landscaping Cabin St. Clare (top photo) as their very own and do the same. All materials needed for the project and food are provided by camp! When? You schedule this with Kevin at your convenience. Make a morning of it or a day or even stay overnight….”
Campfest Join us for a little bit of fun this fall at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa... you know the camp you worked at and where you made the best memories? Come relive it all (OK, maybe not ALL)! This is a bit of summer camp for the grown ups so this is an adult only event. Meals and activities provided!
Camp Staff Alums (and spouses) only please. When? October 15-17 Where?Camp Rancho Framasa of course!
Activities: Think handicrafts, archery, high ropes, and more.
Camp Games: Maybe a little Gold Rush or Canada Game.
Social time: Take a look at photos and journals from your camp days at this Ranchfest type gathering. Beer and wine provided (NOT like the Ranchfest of your youth).
