Lauren has worked at CYO Camp since 2006. While she has worn many hats at camp, she currently holds the position of Assistant Camp Director. Lauren’s favorite thing about camp is spending time working with kids and watching them learn. Lauren’s Golden Retriever, Willa, is our official camp dog.
When not at camp, Lauren enjoys spending time with family, playing with Willa, going to Trivia nights, and watching the TV show Friends.
Job Duties: Lauren is the organization expert who coordinates staff hiring and paperwork. She loves a good spreadsheet with multiple tabs. Lauren also coordinates the camp’s inclusive programming and health care. Meet Willa
Pete Fasano, School Year Program Director
Pete’s favorite thing about camp is how deep and lasting relationships are formed with the people you meet at camp. Pete has been part of the CYO Camp family for 2 decades; he has held many positions and made some amazing friends.
In his free time, you can find Pete spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and looking for snakes. He also loves to cook indoors and outdoors and spend time with the camp horses.
Job Duties: Pete is the friendly voice on the phone if you are coming to camp in the school year. He will spend time communicating with group leaders to help design their group’s ideal camp experience. He then adds that to a schedule and just like that a camp experience is born. Pete also coordinates staff training, the summer camp adventure program, and our dynamic faith programming.

Garrett Cox, Facility Manager
Garrett’s favorite thing about camp is seeing the campers, guests, and staff enjoy nature, each other’s company, and the property. He loves getting to spend his days outdoors and problem solving how to repair, plan, and improve camp’s many maintenance needs. He worked at summer camps in Indiana and Illinois for 8 years before getting “adult jobs” at The Apple Works Orchard, in insurance sales, and doing home remodeling. He joined the CYO Camp family in September of 2022.
When he isn’t fixing things at camp, Garrett enjoys woodworking, photography, and cooking over campfires in his free time. He and his wife, Desiree, converted the old Adventure Camp bus into a tiny home and now reside in it at camp. Job Duties: Garrett is the expert in the department of fixing things that are broken. He is the one we call for anything related to the camp's buildings, green scape, and woods—whether it’s plunging a toilet or helping write grants for significant building improvements. Garrett is the guy who keeps camp beautiful and functional for all of us to enjoy. He is of a superhero in that way.
